Mac OS X users can download this software and have access to the same tables and tournaments as PC users. This software has been out for a while now and it is completely stable and fully functioning. If you already have an account at UB, you can download the Mac software and log in with your current username and password. New players can also sign up and use the Mac software at the Ultimate Bet website.
UB Mac Features
The Ultimate Bet Mac download is very similar to the regular PC version. Standard features of the Mac software include the ability to join up to five tables at a time, access to ring games, tournaments and a variety of options. The only significant difference between the two is that the PC version supports up to 20 tables at a time.
All types of ring games are available in the Mac version, but tournaments are currently only offered in the Texas Holdem format. UB claims to be working on making all tournaments accessible on its Mac software, so we’ll have to see if they add that functionality sometime soon.
Other than that, the Mac software works the same as the PC version. You can log in, change all sorts of options and play for real money just like anyone else. And note that you can still join games with other players who may be using the PC download or instant play software. No matter how you access the tables, you will be playing with the same player base.
Ultimate Bet Mac System Requirements
The Ultimate Bet Mac client does require a powerful computer by any means. The software is relatively simple and only takes a couple minute to download. If you’re curious, though, the following system requirements are recommended on the UB website:
- Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or higher
- 128 MB RAM
- Minimum screen resolution of 800×600
