Bodog Poker on a Mac

Bodog Poker does not offer Mac-friendly download software at this time. In fact, there’s no way to play at Bodog from a Mac unless you use a software emulator. I wish we had better news for you, but Bodog Poker just hasn’t gotten around to developing poker software for Mac computers. Not all hope is lost, though.

If you need a Mac-friendly poker site, there are plenty of other options. Most of the poker sites listed here at PokerBonusCodez.com offer some sort of Mac friendly download. The following poker sites have all been rated highly by Mac poker players:

What Happened to the Bodog Poker Mac Software?

Bodog had an instant play option a while back but they have suspended that indefinitely. There was no official announcement, but they were probably having issues with the software working properly and decided to remove their Mac friendly software. Since then, they say they have been working on a solution for Mac users, but we don’t have any official word from them yet.

As one of the largest gaming companies in the world, Bodog has plenty of resources to build a Mac friendly poker download. In all likelihood, we will see a Bodog Poker Mac download in the near future. Just hang tight for now and give them a little time to work out all the details.

How to Play Bodog Poker on a Mac

If you have used a Mac computer for any length of time, you’ve probably already heard of software emulators. These programs are designed to let Windows applications run on Mac computers as if those programs were created for Macs in the first place. Although there is no Bodog Poker Mac download client, you can still play at Bodog on your Mac.

Programs such as Wine and Parallels Desktop can be used to run Windows programs on Mac computers. Wine is a free solution, so we recommend that one first. Once you get it installed, you can download the Bodog Poker client and run it as if you were using a Windows based computer.

It might sound like a lot of work to get Windows programs running on a Mac but it’s actually not that bad. The free Wine program mentioned above is extremely easy to use (from what I’ve heard). It’s an open source program, which means it’s completely free and constantly updated by a large community of developers.

Bodog Poker Mac Download

In the past Bodog simply offered Mac users an instant play version of its poker software. Instant play poker is nice and all, but we would like to see a full Mac friendly software package at some point. Mac users like poker just as much as everyone else, so it’s a worthy target market for a big company like Bodog to go after.

You can use either of the two programs mentioned above to still play at Bodog Poker, though. However, it’s probably easier to simply find a different poker site. In that case, you might want to check out one of the sites listed at the top of this page. Each of those poker sites has a Mac friendly option for all your real money poker action.
