Why No Bodog Poker Instant Play?
For unknown reasons, the Bodog Poker instant play client was discontinued a while back – probably due to technical reasons. The company has plenty of resources available to make it happen, but they appear to have just not yet gotten around to it. It would be nice to see them release it soon, because there are quite a few poker players out there who prefer instant play poker.
Mac users are big fans of instant play poker because there are still many poker sites out there that have not yet developed Mac compatible software. For now, Mac players at Bodog have to revert to using Mac emulators or simply use other poker sites. The two poker sites listed near the top of this page both offer Mac friendly poker software.
Instant Play Alternatives
Bodog Poker is strictly a download-only poker site. The only alternative to the Bodog Poker instant play is to try a different poker site. If you own a PC, however, we strongly recommend you give the Bodog software an honest shot. This poker room has been around for a long time and you can trust their software to work well.
As the Bodog Poker room continues to grow and evolve, we can expect to see instant play software at some point. It’s anyone’s guess how long this will be, so for now it’s just a waiting game. The lack of instant play software is probably one of Bodog Poker’s greatest weaknesses.
